Helix pomatia nesting on a hard surface

On the 17 of may I put out a picture om two snails Helix pomatia making love in our garden (on Norways national celebration day!) (Snigelkärlek bland blommor i trädgården) To day I found the same kind of snail nesting on one of our gravel walks, working itself down to place their eggs. The same thing happened at almost exactly the same day one year ago. That time we vere cruel, picked it up and locked at an egg as you can se as a pearl on the spoon in the third picture. This time we vill leave the snail in peace, it is not the murderous type. The swedish name is Vinbergssnäcka.
